1. What is the first session like?

In our first session, we will get to know each other and uncover details about the reason you are seeking counselling.  We will discuss what you would like to focus on and determine if we are a good fit for your goals. We may also start to discuss some plans for therapy. 


2. How much does counselling and psychotherapy cost?

My rate is 145 dollars per session. I accept e-transfer and visa/mastercard due at the end of each session.


3. Will my insurance reimburse me for your services?

Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP. However, most employment based insurance companies will reimburse you for my services. Please read your insurance information carefully and call to make sure what services are covered. Many insurance companies reimburse their customers for seeing a registered psychotherapist, like me. Some insurance companies reimburse their customers for psychotherapy services if the psychotherapist is supervised by a registered psychologist. For my clients, both options are possible.  


4. How long are sessions? How long will therapy last? 

Sessions are typically 50 minutes with an additional 10 minutes for session notes, payment and scheduling. The number of sessions can vary widely from client to client depending on their needs. For some clients, it may be 2-3 sessions, while others may meet with me for much longer.


5. Do you currently provide in person sessions?

All sessions are conducted online/virtually.
